Rocky by Betsy Youngquist is a fine fellow covered in beads and longing for the sea. This seahorse is an original carving using old composite doll hands as fins. His surface is adorned with glass seed beads, coral, mother of pearl, and vintage glass stones. Rocky's face includes the incorporation of antique doll parts, both glass (eyes) and porcelain (face/skin). The textural surface on this unique piece was created using a mosaic process.
