Beaded Cross with Doll Head by Betsy Youngquist

This beaded cross by Betsy Youngquist was embellished with glass beads, glass stones, and porcelain in a mosaic process. The doll face is dirty from being in the ground at the site of a German doll factory in operation from the 1860s through the 1930s. There is a sweet and innocent quality to this piece.
