Beaded COVID Cross with Doll Head by Betsy Youngquist

This beaded cross by Betsy Youngquist was created during COVID as a symbol of hope. I made a series of crosses that leaned heavily on mixed media elements during the pandemic. This particular piece was in my personal collection until recently. Art that can be correlated to a particular event or time in history is interesting to me. This story of hope is reinforced by the events that surrounded it.
