Jolly
7x7x1.5
This beaded assemblage piece by Betsy Youngquist is all about joy. Betsy decided to play with the personality of this character using a minimum of materials. Jolly has open arms (or wings) welcoming the joy he finds in the world around him. The head was unearthed from the grounds of German doll factories in operation between 1860-1930. The rust stains on this head are part of this Jolly's life underground. This piece hangs on the wall.
