Large Round Eye Brooch by Betsy Youngquist
This brooch by Betsy Youngquist was made using an antique glass doll eye surrounded by glass beads, pearls, and vintage glass jewelry components adhered in a mosaic process. The eye was salvaged from the grounds of a pre-WW2 German doll factory. These were the "flawed" eyes which were buried in the ground as a means of disposal. All of these materials are set in a silver-plated pewter form. The brooch is 3 inches wide and 2.25 inches tall. This pendant is a one of a kind piece of wearable art.
