Large Eye Heart Pendant
This pendant by Betsy Youngquist was made using an antique glass doll eye surrounded by glass beads and vintage glass jewelry components adhered in a mosaic process. The eye was salvaged from the grounds of a pre-WW2 German doll factory. These were the "flawed" eyes which were buried in the ground as a means of disposal. All of these materials are set in a silver-plated pewter heart form. The chain is 18 inches long and made of stainless steel with a sterling silver lobster clasp. Eyes are historically identified as symbols of protection. The pendant itself is 2.25 inches long and a little over 1 inch wide. This pendant is a one of a kind piece of wearable art. Different chain lengths available upon request.
