Rowan is a friendly fellow. He loves to feast on those little critters who love to fly and crawl through human houses. Rowan once started a pest control business, but found that too many human were uncomfortable with a business owner who had multiple eyes. Now he works undercover for other pest control businesses and is often voted employee of the year. Go Roland!
According to Ted Andrews "spider reminds us that the world is woven around us. We are the keepers and the writers of our own destiny, weaving it like a web by our thoughts, feelings and action."  The spider web itself is seen as a symbol of the Goddess and the creation of life. So many myths revolve around the spider. She is Arachne,  Grandmother Spider, Jorogumo, Anansi, Uttu, and Aragog. Spider 8 tells us to seek shelter in our own hearts, and to remember that all life forms share this planet together as the interconnected web of Mother Earth. Thank you to the spiders.
